Armed Robbery Suspect Caught In Bridgeport: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A suspect has been caught following a Friday morning armed robbery in the 300 block of Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, according to police.

Details of the incident were not immediately available, but the incident occurred at about 10 a.m. outside an unnamed business.

"Company stated that one of their clients was robbed at gunpoint and their car was taken heading northbound on the connector," wrote Tiadora Josef, the city's Director of Public Information.

The vehicle exited the highway at an undisclosed location, and police were able to capture the suspect. A firearm has been recovered.

"This is an active investigation at this time," Josef said.
