Attempted Murder Arrest Made In Bridgeport

One of the victims was in critical condition from a stabbing.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police arrested a Bridgeport man after he stabbed two people during an argument, according to police.

A woman soaked in blood in the parking lot of St. Vincent's Medical Center told police Tuesday her assailant fled on Main Street, according to the Connecticut Post.

Police apprehended Algie Womack, 54, who claimed he was defending himself. A second stab victim was in critical condition at the hospital.

The two victims agreed to drive Womack form Derby to Bridgeport if he paid for gas. When he got to the gas station he refused due to high gas prices, police said.
