The first day of school for most students in Bridgeport is Aug. 29 (Aug. 28 for kindergarten and 9th grade).

Yom Kippur: Sept. 25
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22-24
Winter Break: Dec. 25-Jan. 1 (early dismissal, Dec. 22)
February Recess: Feb. 15-19
Eid al-Fitr: April 10
Spring Break: April 15-19
Last Day: June 10 (early dismissals)
Students are scheduled for 180 days; teachers for 186 days.
