Breakfast With the Senators: State Senators Marilyn Moore and Ted Kennedy, Jr to Meet
Constituents in Trumbull on August 4

TRUMBULL - State Senator Marilyn Moore (22nd District - Bridgeport, Trumbull and Monroe)
will meet with voters on August 4th for breakfast at the Old Town Restaurant in Trumbull.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet, greet, and ask Senator Moore questions ahead of
the primary on August 9th. She will be joined by State Senator Ted Kennedy, Jr., who is backing
her bid for reelection.

Moore: ”I am so grateful that my colleague Senator Kennedy will be in Trumbull to support my
re-election and speak to my constituents. Ted, as Co-Chair of the Environment Committee a
committee I serve on, has brought tremendous energy and commitment in Connecticut’s fight to
preserve our natural resources and protect us from polluters. I am proud of the work we have
accomplished, and look forward to next session as we continue to get results for the people of
the 22nd.”

Kennedy: ”Marilyn has been a strong and effective leader for her district. She's been a key
partner on the Environment Committee and a great voice to have in caucus. Senator Moore
deserves re-election.”

In the last two years alone, Marilyn fought to improve breast cancer screening, raise the
minimum wage, expand access to child care, increase education funding, reduce opioid
dependence and overdose, protect voting rights, provide paid family leave, and end hunger in
Connecticut. She protected funding for seniors and people with disabilities, continued a strong
level of local and higher education funding, maintained a commitment of investment in our
hospitals, and dedicated state funding to every town in the state to hold down property taxes.
