Bridgeport Councilwoman, Club Owner Facing Charges
A Bridgeport councilwoman is facing charges after a man was shot to death at the club she operates last month.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A City Council member is facing charges related to a social club she operates where a man was shot to death last month, according to The Connecticut Post. Councilwoman Eneida Martinez, 49, was charged Wednesday with second-degree reckless endangerment and 10 counts of illegal sale of alcohol.
On Sept. 27, Nyair Charles Nixon, 21, was shot inside Keystone on Barnum Avenue. Martinez closed the club following public outcry.
