Bridgeport Family Sues Fairfield, Officer Over Teen's Death in High-Speed Pursuit Crash: Report
The estate of a dead 19-year-old filed the lawsuit against the officer, who was involved in a similar case in Seymour in 2012.

Fairfield, CT — Police Officer Anthony Renaldi and the Town of Fairfield are being sued by the estate of Arturo Leao, 19, of Bridgeport, who died after his motorcycle crashed into a utility pole in 2014 while being pursued by Renaldi, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports that the lawsuit claims Renaldi violated state and local pursuit policies and says the town should have been aware that Renaldi was involved in a similar fatal crash when he was a member of the Seymour Police Department.
The lawsuit refers to a 2012 case in which a 15-year-old passenger died in a crash after Renaldi initiated a pursuit, according to the Post.
