Bridgeport Fire Damages Home, Displaces 5 People: Fire Officials
The fire was reported Monday night on Evers Street.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport firefighters extinguished a structure fire Monday evening in the 100 block of Evers Street, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported in the 6 p.m. fire, but five people were temporarily displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
Firefighters got the fire under control quickly, but the cause of the blaze remains under investigation by the Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Office.
