Bridgeport Firefighter Injured Battling Fire On Alpine Street: FD

The blaze was reported Saturday night, according to fire officials.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Saturday night fire on Alpine Street in Bridgeport left one firefighter injured, and left two adults and three children temporarily displaced, according to fire officials.

Details of the injuries the firefighter suffered were not disclosed, but they are not considered to be a threat to life. No other injuries were reported.

The fire was reported at 8:20 p.m., and upon arrival, firefighters saw "heavy fire" on all three floors of the two-and-a-half story wood frame structure.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by about 11:35 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bridgeport Fire Marshals' Office.
