The defendant was part of a heroin trafficking organization, according to prosecutors.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 31-year-old Bridgeport resident and heroin dealer pleaded guilty in federal court this week to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin, according to United States Attorney John H. Durham.
According to prosecutors and court documents, Eric Green "was a member of a Bridgeport-based heroin trafficking organization that, between approximately April 2015 and March 2017, received at least 30 kilograms of heroin that had been transported from Mexico, and then distributed the drug in the Bridgeport area."
Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation of the organization, during which undercover officers made multiple controlled purchases of heroin from Green, revealing that he distributed more than three kilograms of heroin to his own customers.
