Bridgeport Heroin, Fentanyl Dealer Sentenced: U.S. Attorney

When authorities searched his home, they found drugs and a stolen handgun.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 24-year-old Bridgeport drug dealer was to 24 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for distributing heroin and fentanyl, announced United States Attorney John H. Durham.

According to court documents and prosecutors, in late 2016, Bridgeport Police made three controlled purchases of heroin from Jovanni Reyes, and in December of that year investigators conducted a court-authorized search of Reyes' Voight Avenue residence. During the raid, police seized more than 120 folds of heroin and a loaded 9mm handgun, which had been reported stolen.

Analysis of the seized drugs revealed that some of the folds also contained fentanyl.
