Bridgeport Hospital Doctor Sexually Assaulted Male Patient, Police Say: Report

The doctor also allegedly asked the victim to go to dinner at 99 Restaurant and Pub and Red Lobster.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Dr. Louie Mar Gangcuangco, a 29-year-old third-year resident at Bridgeport Hospital, has been arrested on a charge of fourth-degree sexual assault in connection with an alleged attack on a 53-year-old male patient, reports NBC Connecticut News.

The patient, who had previously had open heart surgery at the facility, told police he went to the hospital for a check up before having his wisdom teeth pulled. Gangcuangco allegedly assaulted the victim and asked him if he'd like to go to dinner at 99 Restaurant and Pub.

After the victim refused, Gangcuangco allegedly asked him if he'd like to go to Red Lobster instead, according to the publication.

Gangcuangco was released after posting a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 5.
