Bridgeport Man Caught In NY Super Bowl Weekend Crackdown

He was among five Connecticut residents accused of driving drunk in New York over the weekend by NY state police.


New York State Police announced they removed 19 impaired drivers from the road during their 2018 Super Bowl Weekend crackdown. That included five Connecticut residents, one of them from Bridgeport.

  • On February 3, 2018, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Stephanie A. Scully, age 23, of New Fairfield, CT, for DWI. She was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, NY, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
  • On February 3, 2018, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Jose Genao, age 23, of Waterbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, NY, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
  • On February 3, 2018, State Police from SP Somers arrested Andres M. Medina, age 24, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of North Castle, NY, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
  • On February 4, 2018, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Jaime M. Fabian, age 29, of Bridgeport, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, NY, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
  • On February 4, 2018, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Barry J. McShaw, age 24, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, NY, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
