Bridgeport Man Charged After Leaving the Scene of an Accident in Naugatuck: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man has been charged with backing into a vehicle in Naugatuck and then leaving the scene of the accident, police said.

Police said on Thursday Gilberto Garcia, 55, of North Bishop in Bridgeport, was arrested on a warrant for a September, 25, 2015 incident.

Garcia is accused of backing up into a vehicle on City Hill Street and then leaving the scene, police said.

He is charged with evading responsibility and unsafe backing. He was issued a $5,000 bond.
