Bridgeport Man Charged With Murder
Police say a Bridgeport man arrested on gun charges confessed to a murder last month.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested on charges that he killed a man following a dispute, according to police. Jarrel Baker, 23, was initially arrested on a gun possession charge.
He then confessed to detectives during an interview that he used the gun in the Sept. 27 murder of Daron Jones, of 90 Worth St. in Bridgeport, police said. The fatal shooting was over an ongoing feud with an associate of Jones.
Baker was charged with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on $1,000,000 bond.
