Bridgeport Man Charged With Murder: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man turned himself in after a warrant for his arrest was issued in connection with a September homicide, according to police. Deontae Boykin, 23, was charged with felony murder and criminal attempt at first-degree robbery.

He was held on $1,000,000 bond.

Police received a call Sept. 24 at 7:57 p.m. reporting shots fired in the area of 669 Union Ave. Police responded and found family members transporting a relative to the hospital who had been shot.

The victim, who later died at Bridgeport Hospital, was identified as Raymond Sierra, 27.

"The case was led by Detective Cintron and this arrest is the result of his outstanding work as well as the work all those that assisted in the case," according to a police statement.
