Bridgeport Man Charged In Shooting, Bonds Total $390K: Norwalk Police
A 24-year-old Bridgeport resident has been charged, according to police.
NORWALK, CT — A 24-year-old Bridgeport man, Samuel Branch, of Boston Avenue, is accused of shooting a person in May 2022 and was charged on three warrants this week, police said.
On May 12, 2022 police responded to a shooting near 43 North Main Street.
Police said a victim arrived at Norwalk Hospital by private vehicle, suffering from non-life threatening injuries. Police said Branch was identified as a suspect in the shooting.

A warrant for Branch's arrest was secured in late November, police said. On Wednesday, the Norwalk Police Special Services Division learned that Branch was at 2046 Boston Avenue in Bridgeport, police said.
The Norwalk Police Special Services Division, in conjunction with the United States Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Bridgeport Police Department Tactical Narcotics Team, established surveillance at the Boston Avenue location, police said. After a short period of time, Branch was spotted and taken into custody, police said.

Branch's charges for the three warrants include: illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, and two counts of violation of probation.
