Fears Of A Potential Roof Collapse Leads To Closure Of Bridgeport Store: Officials

The building was reportedly shut down on Wednesday.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The Bridgeport Marshalls store is closed due to fears of a possible roof collapse, according to city officials.

The store, located at 4487 Main St. was closed on Wednesday for an unknown amount of time.

"Yes, it is closed due to compromised structural integrity and will remain closed until repairs are done and passes inspection," Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer, told Patch. "We do not have a timeline on when these repairs will be completed."

The Connecticut Post reported that Marshalls' officials have been notified about the closure, and are awaiting repairs by the landlord.
