Bridgeport Man Convicted On Federal Child Exploitation Charges: U.S. Attorney

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A federal jury in Hartford has found a 27-year-old Bridgeport man guilty of multiple child exploitation offenses, according to the U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan.

On Wednesday, Onai Kedar Wilbert Wright was found guilty of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in prostitution or criminal sexual activity, production of child sexual abuse material, two counts of receipt of child sexual abuse material, and transportation of child sexual abuse material.

According to evidence presented at trial, an undercover FBI employee assigned to the agency's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force in Cleveland monitored a live video stream on the Fambase application on March 14, 2025, and observed Wright engaging in sexually explicit activity with a 15-year-old girl.

Federal investigators said analysis of mobile communications, geolocation data and Airbnb records led them to a residence in Norwich, where Wright was taken into custody. The minor and two adult women were also at the residence.

According to prosecutors, the investigation found Wright met the girl when she was 14. Evidence presented at trial showed the two sometimes recorded themselves engaging in sexual activity and shared the recordings with each other. Prosecutors said Wright created an OnlyFans account, uploaded sexually explicit videos of the minor to the account and pressured her to create content for it.

Prosecutors said Wright and the minor traveled to Ohio in early March 2025 with the intent to create additional sexually explicit online content. On March 6, 2025, police in Vermilion, Ohio, conducted a welfare check on the girl after receiving a tip and later contacted the FBI.

Sentencing has not been scheduled. Wright faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Wright has remained in custody since his arrest on related state charges on March 14, 2025.

The FBI's New Haven and Cleveland offices investigated the case with assistance from the Norwich, Bridgeport, Cromwell and Ansonia police departments, the New London State's Attorney's Office, and the Vermilion and Norwalk police departments in Ohio.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Angel M. Krull and Katherine E. Boyles are prosecuting the case.
