Bridgeport Man - Convicted Felon - Possessed Gun In Milford: PD

MILFORD, CT — Police said a convicted felon was found to be in possession of a handgun while in Milford. On Nov. 26, officers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 95 Exit 34 entrance ramp for an equipment violation, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Dupree Smalls, 29, of Capital Avenue in Bridgeport who is accused of being in possession of a handgun which he is not able to possess due to being a convicted felon and having an active order of protection which prohibits him from possessing a firearm, police said.

He is charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm and violation of a protective order. He was given a $20,000 bond.
