Bridgeport Man Had 60 Bundles of Heroin in Car: West Haven Police

Police say the arrest stems from a lengthy multi-agency investigation into the distribution of heroin throughout the VA property.

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven Police found 60 bundles of heroin during a motor vehicle stop on Thursday and say the arrest stems from a lengthy investigation into the distribution of heroin throughout the VA property located at 950 Campbell Avenue.

The West Haven Police Street Crime Unit, working in conjunction with State of CT Office of the Inspector General, began the investigation back in February, according to police.

Tykeen Jones, 24, of 57 Whitter Street in Bridgeport, was the operator of the vehicle and was arrested.

Jones was charged with possession of narcotics, sale of illegal drugs, possession with intent to sell and possession near prohibited structures. He was held on a $50,000 bond.
