Bridgeport Man Hit Bystander With Car At Donut Shop: Milford PD
Police responded to Dunkin' Donuts on a report of a domestic disturbance, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A domestic dispute at Dunkin' Donuts led to the arrest of a Monroe woman and a Bridgeport man, Milford Police said. On Dec. 29, Elizabeth Santamaria, 21, of Old Tannery Road in Monroe, and Melvin Rivera, 24, of Kossuth Street in Bridgeport were charged on a warrant, police said.
On Aug. 22, an officer received a complaint that two people were having a domestic dispute in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts, 214 Woodmont Road, police said.
Investigation showed that Santamaria drove to Milford and dropped Rivera off at his job which was nearby, police said. After leaving Rivera with the vehicle, Santamaria waited for a ride at Dunkin' Donuts, police said. A short time later Rivera came to Dunkin' Donuts with the vehicle and a verbal altercation ensued ending with Rivera striking a bystander with the vehicle as he left the area, police said.

Santamaria is charged with failure to insure motor vehicle and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Rivera is charged with evading responsibility, reckless driving, and driving without a license.
Rivera was held on a $500 bond.
