Bridgeport Man ID'd In Fatal Hotel Shooting: Report

The shooting occurred Monday night on Lake Street.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport resident Alfanso Anderson, 48, has been identified as the man who was shot and killed Monday night at the Sunnyside Inn on Lake Street, reports the Connecticut Post. Anderson is the city's fourth homicide victim in 2018.

Details of the circumstances leading up to the killing were not disclosed, but Bridgeport police officers, who were called to the hotel at about 11:30 p.m. on a report of shots fired, found Anderson in one of the rooms.

Anderson, who lived on Ezra Street, was shot at least once, according to police. The incident remains under investigation.
