Bridgeport Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Weston Drowning: Police
Emergency crews conducted a rescue operation Sunday at Devil's Glen, according to authorities.
WESTON, CT — A 27-year-old Bridgeport man died following a fishing incident at Devil’s Glen in Weston, according to police.
Weston emergency crews responded Sunday to Devil’s Glen for a reported missing fisherman.
Police identified the man as Freddie Pulla of Bridgeport.

According to Weston police, members of the Norwalk Police Scuba Team located Pulla approximately 20 feet below the surface of the water.
Police said Weston Fire Department personnel and Weston EMS quickly extricated Pulla from the location before beginning resuscitation efforts.

Pulla was transported to Norwalk Hospital, where lifesaving efforts continued, according to police.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Pulla succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on Monday, May 25, 2026,” Weston Police Captain Joseph Miceli said in a news release.
Multiple agencies were involved in the rescue and recovery operation, including the Norwalk Police Department Scuba Team, Weston Volunteer Fire Department, Weston EMS, Norwalk Hospital paramedics and Weston Communications personnel.
Police extended condolences to Pulla’s family and loved ones.
