Bridgeport Man Indentified as Motorcycle Rider Killed in Stratford Crash

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Police have identified the motorcycle rider killed in a crash on Surf Avenue Monday evening as William Bailey III, 33, of Bridgeport.

Stratford Lt. Frank Eannotti said the initial investigation shows Bailey was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a turn in the road, struck a tree and a parked car. The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital.

There is no indication that any other vehicles were involved in the crash, Eannotti said.

Police are continuing the investigation.
