Bridgeport Man Possessed Heroin, Pot: Milford Police

He was stopped by police for a motor vehicle violation.

MILFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of being in possession of drugs including heroin in Milford, police say. Late last month the Police Department's Tactical Unit was conducting anti-crime patrol when it stopped a car for an equipment violation, police say.

During the stop, detectives developed probable cause to search the vehicle, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Joseph Spain, 33, of Read Street, who is accused of being in possession of a quantity of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana packaged for sale, police said.

Spain also had an active arrest warrant from State Police Troop G.
