Bridgeport Man Sentenced For Heroin Trafficking: Feds

A Bridgeport man will serve time in federal prison for trafficking heroin.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to three years in prison for trafficking heroin, according to a statement from Leonard C Boyle, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Kevin Lucas, aka "Dutch," 62, will also serve three years of supervised release.

According to prosecutors, between May and August 2019, law enforcement made a series of controlled purchases of redistribution quantities of heroin from Lucas.

Lucas was arrested Aug. 22, 2019. Law enforcement searched his home and found additional distribution quantities of heroin, approximately 139 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 365 grams of cocaine, items used to process and package narcotics, a 9mm handgun, two loaded magazines, ammunition, and $35,220 in cash.

Lucas pleaded guilty Sept. 21 to possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, heroin.
