Bridgeport Man Stabbed Victim, Then Took Him To The Hospital

A Bridgeport man has been charged in connection with a June 6 stabbing.

BRIDGEPORT, CT— A man accused of stabbing another man drove the victim to the hospital, according to The Connecticut Post. Jose Bucardo-Murillo, 24, was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Police said he initially claimed he was just helping out by rushing the stabbing victim to St. Vincent's Medical Center. He told police that the victim had been jumped and stabbed multiple times during a cookout June 6.

However, the victim, who suffered serious injuries, identified Bucardo-Murillo as the assailant, according to The Connecticut Post.

He was held on $150,000 bond and will appear in court Sept. 14.
