Bridgeport Man Texts Deadly Threats to Ex-Girlfriend: Police

The 26-year-old was arrested by Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT - A 26-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Wednesday for texting his former girlfriend that he would kill her at her job, according to police.

Ivan Nava allegedly sent multiple threatening messages to the Fairfield woman, writes the Connecticut Post. The two reportedly had a seven-year relationship but ended it earlier this year.

Nava was charged with:

  • First-degree threatening
  • First-degree harassment

He was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court today, April 14.
