Bridgeport Man Tries To Steal Maserati From Greenwich Dealership
The incident began Tuesday night at Miller Motorcars on West Putnam Avenue.

GREENWICH, CT — A 20-year-old Bridgeport man led Greenwich police on a high-speed chase on West Putnam Avenue Tuesday night after he allegedly tried to steal a Maserati from Miller Motorcars, according to authorities.
Demetris Rayvon Lark, of Kossuth Street, tripped the alarm of the luxury car at about 8:45 p.m., alerting a witness who contacted police.
Lark then sped off in a black Lincoln Town Car, which was spotted by a Greenwich officer in an unmarked police car. But when the officer tried to stop Lark, he allegedly sped off "disregarding stop signs and red traffic lights, endangering other motorists and pedestrians," according to police.

He turned onto a dead end street and jumped out of the vehicle, which police said had been reported stolen out of Stamford, and ran off. Lark also threw a "facsimile firearm" at police officers who were chasing him on foot. The officers were joined by a Westport police officer and K-9 that helped with the foot chase.
Lark was soon captured and charged with a host of burglary, attempted larceny, reckless driving, and related charges. He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 27.
