Bridgeport Man Who Killed 14-Year-Old To Spend 40 Years In Prison
Diante Willoughby previously pled guilty to killing Jose Nunez, whose body was found near Oxford a day after he was reported missing.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man who pleaded guilty to killing a 14-year-old boy in 2020 will spend the next 40 years in prison, according to a report.
Diante Willoughby, 21, was sentenced Thursday for killing Jose Nunez, the Connecticut Post reported. Willoughby previously was charged with murder with special circumstances in the death of Nunez, whose body was found in a wooded area of Oxford one day after his mother reported him missing to police.
Willoughby, who once hoped to become a police officer, tried to smother the boy with a bleach-soaked rag before manually choking him, according to the Post. Willoughby said he killed the boy because he was afraid he was going to tell others Willoughby was gay, the Post reported, citing Willoughby's attorney.
