A federal indictment says the two suspects robbed the store in February and stole about $184,000 in jewelry.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two Bridgeport men have been charged in federal court in connection with a jewelry store robbery in Clinton earlier this year, according to U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan, and P.J. O’Brien, special agent in charge of the FBI’s New Haven Division.

Kelijah Richardson, also known as “KeKe,” “Keek,” and “Lijh,” 28, and Anibal Rivera, also known by the aliases “Go,” “Greenlight Go,” and “greenlightgo.1,” are accused of stealing about $184,000 worth of jewelry from the Kay Jewelers store in Clinton on Feb. 3.

The charge is interference with commerce by robbery, also known as Hobbs Act robbery. The offense carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years, according to prosecutors. The U.S. Attorney’s Office also said the indictment is not evidence of guilt and that the charge is an allegation. Each defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

As described in court documents and statements made in court, the FBI New Haven Violent Crimes Task Force and state and local law enforcement agencies have been investigating at least 20 robberies and burglaries, as well as attempted robberies and burglaries, of jewelry stores and kiosks in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts between September 2025 and February 2026. In those incidents, suspects wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves entered jewelry stores and kiosks, used hammers or other tools to break showcases, stole jewelry, and then fled in vehicles with no license plates or with stolen or obstructed license plates.
