Bridgeport Man's Work On Naugatuck House Wasn't Safe: Police

The accused was hired to work on a local resident's house and the repairs weren't safe or code compliant, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of performing renovations on the victim's house that was not safe or in compliance with building codes, Naugatuck Police said.

Hensley Johnson, 57, of Connecticut Avenue turned himself in on an active arrest warrant, police said. The warrant was for renovations done on the victim’s home was unsafe and not in compliance with building codes, police said. The accused was hired to renovate the victim’s home. The accused completed electrical and plumbing work without a license, police said.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 30 and is charged with performing craftsman work without a license, violating state building code penalty, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
