Crown Budget Market is now Crown Cafe and is owned by the same family.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A family that previously owned Crown Budget Market on Madison Avenue has reopened the spot as Crown Cafe.

The Nichio family grocery store closed down nearly 20 years ago amid competition from bigger grocers and owner Richard Nichio Sr. looking to retire, according to the Connecticut Post.

Now brothers Craig and Richard Nichio have reopened it as a cafe with breakfast, lunch and dessert items.
