Bridgeport Men Arrested in Fatal Massachusetts Home Invasion, Fire: Report

The two allegedly forced their way into a home in Fitchburg, MA, Saturday, robbed the victims and set a fatal fire, police say.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two Bridgeport men stand accused of forcing their way into a Fitchburg, Massachusetts, home Saturday night, robbing the occupants and setting the house on fire, which led to the death of one of the victims, reports NBC News Connecticut.

Arrested were Ramon Milan, 37, and Jose Crespo, 32, who police believe targeted the victims. The two allegedly wore masks, and one was armed. After forcing their way into the home, they beat up the victims and tied them up.

Two victims escaped while the pair allegedly continued to beat the third victim before they set the house on fire. The third victim was unable to escape from the home and was killed in the fire, according to police.

Milan and Crespo were charged with armed home invasion, arson and assault with a deadly weapon, and they are being held on fugitive charges, according to NBC Connecticut.
