Bridgeport Mother, Daughter Almost Shot in Their Home: Cops

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A woman and her 1-year-old daughter were nearly struck by a bullet fired through a wall above their heads early Sunday after a neighbor shot a gun nearby, according to police.

Bridgeport resident Amaral Jean-Baptiste, 24, was charged with:

• Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm
• Reckless Endangerment
• Risk of Injury to a Minor

The Connecticut Post reports that Jean-Baptiste, who has a permit for the weapon, allegedly admitted to firing the shot and apologized.
