Bridgeport PD Investigates Possible 'Swatting Type Call' At Harding HS
The school was temporarily placed on lockdown Wednesday morning following the call.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A possible "swatting type call" Wednesday morning is being investigated by Bridgeport police, after the call led to the temporary lockdown of Harding High School.
The school's main office received the call a little after 8 a.m. from what police describe as "a male party."
Details of the call were not disclosed, but police were notified and "on scene within minutes," according to Scott Appleby, the city's Director of Emergency Management.

"Out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed on a lockdown, but that was soon lifted by PD and the Principal based upon initial risk assessments," Appleby said, adding, "This is an active investigation."
