Bridgeport Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Two Vehicles

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at Hillview and Main Street in Bridgeport on Thursday morning, according to a police tweet. Donna Dvornek, 63, was injured when she was struck by a car, and then she was struck a second time by a hit-and-run driver and later died as a result of her injuries, according to WFSB 3-TV.

The driver later turned herself in and is facing charges. WFSB 3 TV notes that the driver of the first car that struck Dvornek stayed at the scene and tried to prevent other vehicles from driving through the area.
