Bridgeport Police Investigate Monday Night Shooting That Injured Man

The shooting occurred on Harriet Street, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A man suffered gunshot wounds to an arm and leg Monday night when he was shot on Harriet Street in Bridgeport, according to police.

The victim was treated in Bridgeport Hospital following the 9 p.m. shooting, and the wounds are not considered to be a threat to his life, authorities said.

Police were notified about the shooting by a ShotSpotter activation in the 200 block of Harriet Street, though the victim was found by emergency personnel in an apartment in the 300 block of Barnum Avenue.

"Suspect was unknown to the victim," Bridgeport police said in a statement. "This is an active investigation."
