BRIDGEPORT, CT — The City of Bridgeport Police Department will be participating in the Faith & Blue Weekend, spanning from October 6-9. Faith & Blue Weekend is a national event with activities in communities across the country that bring together law enforcement and residents to build connections, create mutual understanding, and enhance justice and reconciliation. Patrol Supervisors shall designate personnel to attend these events.

The Bridgeport Islamic Community Center at 703 State Street at 12:45 PM. The contact person is Mostapha Hassan at (203) 290-7987. Officers were advised that the Mosque requests that Officers arrive at 12:30 pm regarding speaking to the people at the services and after the services there will some food and beverages.

St. Mary’s Church at 25 Sherman Street at 11:30 AM. The contact person is Maria Pineda at (203) 334-8811. There is breakfast after the service and Officers can speak with parishioners during this time.

The Messiah Baptist Church at 210 Congress Street at 12:30 PM. The contact person is Jean McCord at (203) 368-2405. The service will be concluded around 12:30 pm to 12:45 pm and Officers could speak with parishioners.
