Bridgeport Police Search For Suspect In Home Depot Robbery

The suspect made off with tools after he threatened to stab employees with a hypodermic needle, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in the May 6 robbery of the Home Depot on Reservoir Avenue.

The suspect stole approximately $1,000 worth of mostly Ryobi tools in the 4 p.m. robbery, and when confronted as he was escaping, he brandished a hypodermic needle and threatened to stab employees, according to police.

"According to witnesses, the suspect is approximately 40 years-old," police said in a statement. "He fled in an older white Subaru Outback, circa 2000."

The suspect was wearing a Panic! at the Disco hoodie from the 2019 Pray for the Wicked Tour.

Police said that according to store management, the suspect committed numerous other larcenies there in the past, and the suspect may responsible for similar crimes at other Home Depot stores.
