Bridgeport School Among Best High Schools In CT: New Rankings

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A private high school in Bridgeport is considered among the best in Connecticut, according to new rankings of the top public and private high schools in the state.

Niche looked at more than 123,000 public and private schools in the nation to compile its lists of the top 50 in each state, and Westport's three were in the top 20 for either public or private high schools.

Among the top 50 private high schools in the state, Bridgeport International Academy was #49.

The state's top five private high schools, according to Niche, are Choate Rosemary Hall (#1), The Hotchkiss School (#2), The Loomis Chaffee School (#3), Hopkins School (#4), and The Taft School (#5).

As for the state's public high schools, New Canaan High School was #1, followed by Staples High School in Westport at #2, and Darien High School (#3). Rounding out the top five were Greenwich High School (#4), Avon High School (#5).

Niche’s rankings combine federal and state data, school statistics, and over 3 million reviews from students, parents, and teachers to evaluate schools beyond test scores.
