Bridgeport Urine Test Battle Ends In Draw
Two outspoken Bridgeport politicians provided urine samples to prove they weren't on drugs.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport political battle was decided not by votes or debate, but by urinating into a cup. City Councilman Ernie Newton and Board of Education member Maria Pereira each had no drugs found in urine samples after the two got into a feisty online commenting battle on Only in Bridgeport.
The two outspoken politicians both showcased their test screenings on the news website. Both tested negative for 10 illicit substances.
Newton had a substance abuse issue in the past, but said he has been clean for 23 years and said Pereira was crazy no different than Donald Trump.
