Bridgeport Woman, 23, Fatally Shot; Search Underway For Suspect: PD
The woman's body was discovered Thursday morning.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old Bridgeport woman, whose body was found in a condominium on Vincellette Street in Bridgeport on Thursday morning.
The woman's identity has not yet been released, but she was discovered in a unit in the Coachlight Square Condominiums at 333 Vincellette St. at about 11:20 a.m.
Initially, the discovery was reported to police as an unresponsive woman inside the unit.

"Patrol officers arrived on-scene and located the unresponsive female who appeared to have been shot to death," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement. "Medical personnel quickly arrived at this location and pronounced the victim deceased. The Detective Bureau Homicide Squad has responded and taken charge of the investigation under the direction of Sergeant Pasquale Feola."
Detectives from the bureau's Identification Unit also collected evidence at the scene.

"This appears to be [an] isolated incident where the victim knew her attacker," Gilleran said. Additional details were not disclosed.
