Bridgeport Woman Charged With Attempted Murder After Hotel Fight

Police say the woman stabbed another woman several times in the neck and chest during a fight at a hotel in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport woman has been charged with attempted murder after police say she stabbed another woman several times in the neck and chest with a knife during a fight at a hotel in Stratford. Ashley Jackson, 26, was arrested after the assault, which took place at the Quality Inn located at 1500 South Avenue in Stratford. The fight involved Jackson and another woman who attended the party, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.

Eannotti said the victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital and is in stable condition. Jackson also sustained minor injuries during the fight and was treated at Bridgeport Hospital after surrendering to police, according to Eannotti.

Jackson was charged criminal attempt at murder and first-degree assault. She was held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on June 8.

Eannotti said police are continuing to investigate the incident.
