Bridgeport Woman Leads Police On 2 Chases: Trumbull PD

A woman led officers on two chases in Trumbull, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport woman was arrested after she fled police twice after shoplifting at the Trumbull mall Target, according to police.

Marisol Chander, 43, shoplifted around $400 from Target May 20, 2017 and fled police in a vehicle. Police called off the pursuit for safety reasons.

She was spotted again Feb. 1, 2018 shoplifting from Target and police once again gave chase, but this time got her licence plate number, police said.

Police traced the car back to the owner who said his wife had driven the vehicle. Chander was arrested by warrant March 30 and charged with reckless driving, two counts of engaging police in a pursuit, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and evading responsibility.
