Cat In Sealed Box Thrown Off Bridge: Report

A boy told police he saw a man throw a box containing a cat off a bridge and into the water in Bridgeport. The boy rescued the cat.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A cat was reportedly thrown off off a bridge and into the water near Pulaski Street and Crescent Avenue.

A 10-year-old boy flagged down an officer and said he saw an adult male throw a box off the bridge and into the water. The boy heard meowing coming from the box that was completely taped up and tied in a garbage bag, according to Bridgeport Animal Control.

The boy ran to the water's edge and rescued the cat.
