Chase Leads To Lockdown Of University Of Bridgeport: Police
The university put the campus on lock-in/lock-out while police chased a suspect with a possible gun, according to officials.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A police investigation led to a temporary lockdown at the University of Bridgeport on Wednesday night, according to officials.
Police were in a foot pursuit of a suspect with a possible gun in the area of Burnham Street and Iranistan Avenue when the University of Bridgeport put out a “lock-in/lock-out procedure as a precaution,” officials said.
“No threat to campus at this time,” police wrote in a post on Twitter.
