
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A vehicle owned by Newtown Electric was involved in a fatal crash on Rt. 8 in Bridgeport on Oct. 25.
An accident report listed the company and an official with the company confirmed that one of its vehicles was involved in a crash, but didn't identify the driver, according to the News-Times. The driver is speaking with police.
State Police picked up the vehicle from Newtown Electric.

Maria Mendoza-Robles, 54, was killed in the crash near exit 5 after being hit in the left center lane of four, according to State Police.
Witnesses originally described a dump truck with a red or orange cab as the vehicle that hit the woman and fled the scene, State Police said. Further investigation revealed that a blue Peterbilt dump truck was involved.
