BRIDGEPORT, CT — U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (D-4th) is scheduled to host a Town Hall meeting at Paier College in Bridgeport on Sept. 12, the Congressman's office announced.
The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the college's Arnold Bernhard Arts & Humanities Center at 505 University Ave. in Bridgeport.
"It’s been a busy legislative session in Congress, and I’m proud to say we have made real, meaningful progress on behalf of the American people," Himes wrote in an email to constituents. "From seeing the first comprehensive bipartisan gun safety legislation in 30 years signed into law, to passing a historic investment in climate change, lowering prescription drug costs, and ensuring our veterans receive the care they deserve – we are accomplishing once-in-a-generation change.

"But there is more work to be done. I continue to hear from many of my constituents who are concerned about the ongoing assault on women’s reproductive freedoms, the high cost of everyday goods, and the state of our democracy."
The meeting on the 12th is the Congressman's third this month, with the other two on Sept. 10 in Wilton and Darien.
