Connecticut Pizza & Brew Fest Returns To Bridgeport: What To Know

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The Connecticut Pizza & Brew Fest will return to Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport on Sunday, Aug. 2, for its fourth year.

The event will feature two ticketed sessions. A VIP session from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. includes unlimited cheese pizza samples from participating vendors, beverage tastings and all-day festival access. General admission runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and includes beverage tastings, with pizza available for purchase from participating vendors.

Participating pizza vendors include Alphonse's Italian Street Food, Big Green Truck Pizza, Colony Grill, Frank Pepe Pizzeria, Grand Apizza, Inferno Apizza, Little Italy Pizza Truck, Nonna Lucia's Dough-licious, Slice of New Haven, The Parlor: A Pizza Joint, Una Dolce Vita and Zuppardi's Apizza.

Beverage vendors include BADSONS Beer Co., Berlinetta Brewing, Dad Grass, Downeast Cider, Happy Dad, Josh Wines, Lucky One, Mishka Mead, New Belgium Brewing, Pizza Wine, RIPE Juice Bar, Sierra Nevada, The Long Drink and Woodstock. Additional beverage partners are expected to be announced.

The festival also will include pizza-related demonstrations and entertainment. Frank Zabski, owner of New Haven Pizza School, will demonstrate how to make New Haven-style pizza at home or on an Ooni grill. Attendees also can watch a live recording of the Connecticut-based podcast Charred: A New Haven Pizza Show.

The Rum Runners will provide live music.
